J. Keith Wilson Annual Beautillion Academy
Applicant Qualifications
Applicants must be a graduating college- bound high school junior or senior in the DC metropolitan area. Potential Beaus are required to submit a complete application, two (2) letters of recommendation. One recommendation must come from a school counselor, the other from a member of the community. Each letter should be attached to the application in sealed envelopes.
Potential Beaus are required to submit a 500 word essay with their application packet. Essays should be electronic format.
Choose one of the following topics:
- What type of impact do you think you will have on the world?
- Whom do you admire, and why?
The Event
The culmination of the beautillion academy is our black-tie affair held in the Spring. Beaus, along with their escorts, are introduced to the community through oral presentation and prepared dance performances. The highlight of the evening will be the announcement of Mr. Beau.
